Meet your 2-2 Philadelphia 76ers.

Holy crap. The Sixers destroyed the Charlotte Bobcats 94-63 as they were held to their second lowest point total in team history. 17 steals and 7 blocks highlighted the night for Philly, as their defense combined with Charlotte’s horribly inefficient offense to create a disgusting night for the Bobcats. The ‘Cats certainly missed their point guard Raymond Felton, who was out with a knee injury, but also shot 30% from the floor. Jason Richardson was 2-15 and Gerald Wallace was 3-11!
For the Sixers, Andre Iguodala had his usual well-rounded game, going 6-14 for 19 points, grabbing 7 rebounds, 5 steals, and dealing 5 assists, with the only downside being 5 turnovers. Sam Dalembert dropped 9 points and grabbed 13 rebounds, and point guard Louis Williams scored 7 pts and dealt 5 assists. Even rookie Thadeus Young got into the act, logging his first 11 minutes in the NBA, and scoring 6 points in the process. Fellow rookie Jason Smith also played 20 minutes, in a trend that is likely to continue.
The Sixers are a rebuilding team that still may win a few games against fellow bad teams. They may as well play guys like Williams (still a young guy going into his 4th season), Young and Smith. Even Rodney Carney, who I don’t really ‘get’ should get a good 25 minutes a game. Mo may not have an all-star lineup to work with, but they seem to be playing for him in the early going. Let’s hope it keeps going.
