Since everyone forgot…

Yes, your Philadelphia Phillies are still on top of the National League East, despite being held scoreless for 23 straight innings of baseball. However, they’ve since won two games in a row against the lowly Pittsburgh Pirates courtesy of Jimmy Rollins and Chase Utley, two vital cogs in the offense which needed a jumpstart. The Phils also got decent outings from both Brett Myers and Jamie Moyer, though Myers pulled a Myers and got upset at Charlie Manuel for pulling him from the game.
All the idiotic drama of Brett Myers aside, the Phils are still in first place. All the recent woes of the offense aside, the Phils are still in first place. Put aside closer Brad Lidge having an inflamed right shoulder…ok, well let’s hope that works itself out in a hurry.
The Philadelphia Phillies are in first place, woohoo.
