National League sources confirmed to the Daily News that the midnight deadline to offer arbitration passed with the Phillies passing on all four of their players eligible for free agency: Moyer, leftfielder Pat Burrell and righthanders Tom Gordon and Rudy Seanez.
Whoa. I expected them to offer it to Moyer and probably Burrell. If anything, they’d get Moyer for another year for fairly cheap, and Burrell could walk and get them two picks, or he’d accept it and they’d get a useful left fielder for another season for about 16 million bucks. I have no clue where this leaves the Phillies. Ruben better have a plan for free agency, or you will be looking at quite an outfield.
Is this really breaking news if you’re quoting a newspaper?
You’re mean Mr Warren! I was waiting up checking the wire to see if they would pick them up. I’m aware of copyright infringement…this is a stupid blog with no sustained readership.

And thanks for reading, even if you hate it. Good to hear from you.
Odd that you are now living in Maryland, right outside of DC, Mr. Venu,er Warren
