Day one. The streets remain clean, the lights remain lit. Governor Ed Rendell versus the Republicans rages on, the pettiness on both sides still smoldering hot. Lives do not hang in the balance as of yet, as services continue and state workers WILL get paid this week. They’ll still get partial checks in two weeks, but then? No one quite knows. Chaos may reign, society will crumble, dogs will crap and the crap won’t be pooper-scoopered.
Hold me. The commonwealth cries because mommy and daddy are fighting, and it thinks it’s at fault.
