The 2009 Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest just saw another epic battle between Joey Chestnut and Takeru Kobayashi, with Chestnut coming out on top. He keeps the mustard yellow belt, and the entirety of America ™ weeps in joy. Last year the two tied at 59 and had an eat-off, with Chestnut besting Kobayashi. This year we saw Chestnut down 68 dogs and buns, with Kobayashi eating an incredibly 64.5.
It truly is a golden age of competitive eating. America, fuck yeah.
